Nokia 5230 XpressMusic releases in Q4 2009


Nokia is expected to release an entry-level Touch Screen phone Nokia 5230 that belongs to the XpressMusic generation with looks similar to Nokia 5800 XpressMusic.

The 5230 sports 6 different stunning colors – black, red, pink, green, blue and silver. Similar to 5800, the phone is equipped with a 3.2 inches Touch Screen with 640 x 360 resolution. The camera is just 2.0 Megapixel and supports video recording at 30fps (VGA). The phone is equipped with FM Radio and has a 3.5mm jack and runs on Symbian S60 5th Edition. Nokia promises that the phone is capable of 33 hours of non-stop music playback on its 1320mAh battery. It has support for up to 16GB memory expansion using microSD cards.

The phone can work on GSM/EDGE networks. There’s Ovi Store for all apps, games and music/video downloads. It has support for Ovi Maps with Ariel Images and 3D Maps for over 200 cities. It also comes packed with social networking apps for Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, etc. Sadly, the phone doesn’t feature Wi-Fi.

With all these packed, the phone is expected to hit the market by 4th quarter this year at a competitive price of €150 EUR (roughly $220 USD) without the ‘Comes with Music’ service. It comes to €260 EUR (roughly $380 USD) with the ‘Comes with Music’ service.
