Samsung’s 8MP TouchScreen Mobile


Samsung S8300 UltraTOUCHSamsung launches the first-of-its-kind TouchScreen mobile with whopping 8 MegaPixel Camera. S8300 UltraTOUCH is world first TouchScreen phone to feature an 8MP camera! The phone was announced in February 2009 and was released in late March 2009 and is now available in India. The phone features an OLED TouchScreen of 240×400 resolution with 16 Million colors. What’s more, the surface is Scratch-resistant and is just 1.3cm thin!

Coming to its other features, the phone has an internal memory of 80MB and allows expansion of upto 16GB using microSD. The camera allows upto 3264×2448 pixels (8MP) which is equipped with auto-focus and a dual-power LED Flash. Regarding connectivity, the phone supports GPRS and EDGE of class 10 and 3G of upto 7.2Mbps (network dependent). Supports BlueTooth (A2DP) and USB, as usual. What’s more, the phone has unique features viz. smile recognition, face recognition, geo-tagging and image stabilization. The phone supports JAVA MIDP 2.0 and supports DivX, XviD, WMV, MPEG4, H.263, H.264 video playback and MP3, WMA, AAC audio playback and has a Document Viewer that supports Word, Excel, Powerpoint and PDF. Available only in Silky Black variant.
